ABOUT

I'm Charlie, a queer (they/them) freelance illustrator and character designer who's also working on a degree in biology. Born, raised, and based in California. I'm passionate about both fields of work, and keep up with my illustration as a second job.

Completely self-taught, I'm growing and learning more about my craft every day. I maintain a large array of original character creations, and dabble in fan work. I'm most in love with fantasy and sci-fi genres, with many of my characters seeded in the Dungeons and Dragons universe(s). I plan to take up an illustration and/or character design minor after completing my major in 2020 to further enhance my skills.

I have software expertise in Paint Tool SAI, Medibang, Clip Studio Paint, and I have an understanding of Photoshop. I have hardware expertise with Wacom Pen & Touch tablets and the Huion Q11k v2 tablet. I am available to work remotely, on-site anywhere in the LA and San Diego areas, and to relocate on-site with assistance. I excel in character portraiture and illustration, cel-style rendering, and character design.
